Feast for Fairness!

Petsa at Oras

2013.10.12, lahat ng araw

Mga Detalye

Join us on Saturday October 12th, as the Campaign to Raise the Minimum Wage, in collaboration with the Migrant Workers Alliance for Change, hosts a Feast for Fairness at Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market, calling for an increase in minimum wage and the inclusion of migrant workers into minimum wage laws.

Look who’s putting food on our table
This Thanksgiving weekend, many low-wage workers are resorting to food banks in order to get by; and restaurant workers continue to see their wages stagnate. Many migrant workers are excluded from minimum wage laws altogether.

Join us as we demand an immediate increase to the minimum wage to $14 and ending minimum wage exemptions for all workers!

From farm to table, every one of us deserves to be paid a minimum wage that enables us to survive. No worker should be exempt from earning a decent living that keeps us out of poverty.

WORKERS DEMAND THEIR FAIR SHARE OF THE ECONOMIC PIE! SQUASH LOW WAGES!

Under the banner of “Poverty Wages? NO THANKS!” this event will be just one of many province-wide actions taking place around the Thanksgiving weekend calling for a $14 minimum wage, and in alliance with the Raise the Rates Week of Action from Oct. 14-20.
